Every four years, the international Brown Swiss family gathers for the World Congress. Switzerland will be the host in 2028. Braunvieh Schweiz, together with BRUNA, is organising the World Congress in Lucerne and expects around 300 guests from the member countries of the Brown Cattle Breeders' World Association. The last World Congress to take place in Switzerland was in 2012, in St Gallen at that time.
Four days of expert programming
Registration is expected to be offered on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Wednesday, company visits are on the agenda, and on Thursday, the world conference with presentations, an accompanying programme and the gala evening. On Friday, the general assembly of the Brown Cattle Breeders' World Association will follow, after which participants will visit the livestock show. On Saturday, the focus will once again be on visiting the livestock show.

Lucerne as a conference destination
Lucerne lies in the heart of Switzerland, by the lake and at the foot of the Alps. The railway station, the old town, the hotels and Messe Luzern are all close to one another. The video by the Lucerne Convention Bureau gives an impression of the city.

Brown Cattle Breeders' World Association
The Brown Cattle Breeders' World Association connects the national breeding organisations of the breed. It promotes professional exchange, harmonises the fundamentals of breeding work and organises the world congress. Braunvieh Schweiz is a member of the Brown Cattle Breeders' World Association and the European Brown Swiss Association and has already organised international conferences in 1986, 1997 and 2012.
